About

About Us

Published by WVU since 1969, WVU Magazine has a world-wide reach that extends to the Mountaineer family—alumni, faculty, staff and students — wherever they are. The audience reflects a uniquely diverse readership across a wide range of occupations and represents 14 colleges and schools in bachelor’s, master's, doctoral and professional degree programs. Many of our readers are thought leaders with purchasing power in influential fields such as law, business, engineering and biomedical sciences.

Our Mission

WVU Magazine tells the stories of a great public university and the people it serves. The magazine captures the local-to-global impact of our campus thought leaders and serves as a trusted source for information and insights into our land-grant mission. The stories reflect the complexity and diversity of our Mountaineer family and aim to deepen our connection to one another and the University. We illustrate the achievements of alumni, faculty, staff and students, and we remind readers what they love about being Mountaineers.
